there is noone

inside or outside
high tide - low tide
circles in squares
mismatched pairs
of shoes and socks
back inside that little box
on the dusty floor
with those airholes

pretend you're breathing
when you can't anymore

Dear Tree. Sing I shalt to thee.

I feel next to that tree, right about now.

'If you want a red rose,' said the Tree, 'you must build it out of music by moonlight, and stain it with your own heart's-blood. You must sing to me with your breast against a thorn. All night long you must sing to me, and the thorn must pierce your heart, and your life-blood must flow into my veins, and become mine.'

Oscar Wilde - The Nightingale and the Rose

numb

you wrung it out of me
slopped it into a jam jar
and tossed it to the sea

i stood there wondering
what set us apart
or what led to why
you broke my stupid heart

bad days galore.

if you like to burn bridges,
then learn to think twice.

i walk in circles now
on an island, in a sea
that has no name.

life - part two - the bigger picture

it's only you,
who knows how
to not do
what should be done
because if you did,
it would be fun
to lay in the sun
with our feet in the sand
and me not having to shun
the thought of me
being the only one
for you.

ps. this didn't have a part one.

Quotation

I would face him, and say simply: I am sad that you are not strong, and do not swim and sail and ski, but you have a strong soul, and I will believe in you and make you invincible on this Earth.

- Sylvia Plath
