Pitter patter hear I
Miserable drizzle from
Boring white sky
No thunder for lullaby
Trudge up to the hilltop I
Jackless is this heedless Jill
Two pails I fill, not one
Haul them down to the windowsill
Slosh one straight at my flowerbed
Roses burn as roses red
The second I lift overhead and tilt
For split second rain to clean the wilt
Of a sad, white day
With that peculiar sense of decay
I dislike so much

Whine whine whine
There are days like fireworks in space and then there are days when you're climbing up a fucking chimney - sooty and asphyxiated. The days in between are forgotten as they melt into an insignificant background grey. There should be more to life than counting days and weighing soot.

Drinking from the sea.
Bitter cold brine
I can feel my spine
Grow weak
Thirst, unquenched
I stagger
And fall
Manage to crawl
From my sprawl on the sand
A little farther
Into the sea.
I can feel my spine
Grow weak
Thirst, unquenched
I stagger
And fall
Manage to crawl
From my sprawl on the sand
A little farther
Into the sea.

You run towards all that you ran from, once upon a time.
When running from a thing you loathe - too hard, too long - the balance shifts for you to follow your hate as you continue to run in your circle - eyes closed, fists clenched - so much so that it becomes your need.
The elements conspire against you.
The curse of your hate stays as a painful glimpse of it in the one you hold dearest and closest to your heart whenever you choose to open your eyes, only to shut them tight again.

When you feel like a typo.
Absorb without exploding
As much as you possibly can
Glow in your masochistic heat
Or wish you were a man
Pluck out your ruddy heart and
Toss it in a frying pan
And feed it to a dog.

Weepy tree meets sad end.
No matter thick I branch,
Leaf green and blossom white
No matter deep I root,
House squirrels and filter light
to shade a secret love
Or robins nests from sight
No matter tall I stand
When I'm a block of wood
I'm chiseled alone.
Leaf green and blossom white
No matter deep I root,
House squirrels and filter light
to shade a secret love
Or robins nests from sight
No matter tall I stand
When I'm a block of wood
I'm chiseled alone.
Weepy for evermore?
Darker feels the murk
Finer feels the thread
And I feel heavier
Free fall
Or first perhaps a final brawl
Between life and death
I've had enough of stealth
Through all of this.
Take me
Or break me
Through and through
Please
Finer feels the thread
And I feel heavier
Free fall
Or first perhaps a final brawl
Between life and death
I've had enough of stealth
Through all of this.
Take me
Or break me
Through and through
Please

LD
Sometimes it's like fiddling your hand
Inside a jar full of beads and dimes
To look for that extra button
You kept safe once upon a time
For that old shirt you feel like wearing;
Broad white stripes on the colour, lime
That doesn't match a sock or tie
And the missing button, makes you wonder why
You kept it hanging all these years
On a rusty hook, where you never look
Except for when your laundry's late
And it's time to leave for work in haste
You can't find the bleeding button
And you curse the poor useless waste
Only to leave it hanging, lonely
Every other day
When you find another to do with
And be on with your way
Inside a jar full of beads and dimes
To look for that extra button
You kept safe once upon a time
For that old shirt you feel like wearing;
Broad white stripes on the colour, lime
That doesn't match a sock or tie

The sooner I get out, the better.
We make our own lives and we forge our own happiness from all kinds of shit. Misery is nobody's friend.

A little venting and a little prayer
Fireworks die in smoke
Unsteady wheels with irregular spokes
To push would be to provoke
A much precedented fall
Joy gives you withdrawals
An illness from potent poison
That leaves the mind stalled
And the heart appalled
A bucket of water is a bucket of blood
But on the floor, it's equivalent to mud
Slushy sticky sludge
Melted chocolate fudge
Speak must, The Mighty Judge
Banish sinners
The frequent winners
And give us the peace of calm
Although I mean no harm...

revenge.
what defines a person is not power nor grace; be him high or mighty
some value piety; others, what they deem sightly
some hold tight on hearts and stars; petty folly does the world preach highly
...but me, i like to look
laugh at fools and read about girls from sunnybrooks
should you be the apple of my eye
perhaps i'd like to know why.
rebirth: X and Y
X: what do you think about before you fall asleep?
Y: the future.. politics.. maybe a year off.. what the day was like.. meh.. you?
X: you... and thoughts stray from there.

Dear Tree. Sing I shalt to thee.
I feel next to that tree, right about now.
'If you want a red rose,' said the Tree, 'you must build it out of music by moonlight, and stain it with your own heart's-blood. You must sing to me with your breast against a thorn. All night long you must sing to me, and the thorn must pierce your heart, and your life-blood must flow into my veins, and become mine.'
Oscar Wilde - The Nightingale and the Rose

bad days galore.
if you like to burn bridges,
then learn to think twice.
i walk in circles now
on an island, in a sea
that has no name.
